WPP Group’s Maxus has appointed Helena Snowdon to the new position of worldwide marketing director at the agency.
Snowdon will oversee Maxus’ branding, marketing and communications efforts, both internally and externally. She will also work with the agency’s worldwide business development director, Karen Kaufman, on new business development and pitch coordination, especially for efforts run out of Europe.
Snowdon will be based in London, reporting to the shop’s global CEO, Kelly Clark. Her appointment is effective June 8.
Most recently, Snowdon was global head of marketing and communications for Omnicom’s PHD in London. Earlier, she was with WPP’s Mindshare as part of its global new business team.
“Helena’s appointment is a major commitment to building the Maxus brand with clients, new business prospects, pitch consultants and the media,” Clark said in a statement.
Maxus positions itself as a specialist in “relationship media,” which combines the disciplines of communications planning and customer relationship marketing. It now has more than 1,000 people in 40 offices worldwide, and operates as a unit of WPP’s GroupM division.
