NEW YORK—Alan Hodge has been named Trading Director for Maxus Worldwide, a new position with the rapidly expanding and award-winning GroupM global media agency, it was announced today.
The announcement was made by Maxus Global CEO Kelly Clark, who said Hodge will manage the agency’s media buying commitments, participate in new business efforts, and work with Maxus and GroupM teams across all key markets to ensure delivery of agency services. He also will represent Maxus to the media auditing companies and key media owners, in consultation with GroupM.
Hodge will be based in London and will report to Clark and to Juergen Blomenkamp, the global head of GroupM Trading, to ensure communication and alignment between the agency and GroupM on all trading activities. His appointment is effective September 1.
Maxus is one of four global WPP media and marketing agency networks within GroupM, along with MEC, MediaCom, and Mindshare.
“I am delighted that Alan is joining us,” Clark said in making the announcement. “He has great experience and relationships that will help our clients get the most for their media investments. We’re looking forward to having him as a partner as we continue our company’s development.”
Hodge is already part of the GroupM family where he currently serves as GroupM EMEA Trading Director. In that role he works extensively with clients including Fiat, Chrysler, and Universal Pictures among others. He previously worked with Mindshare in a senior trading role and before that held senior sales positions at ITV, the UK’s largest commercial TV company.
